Hello Good People, I'm in search of a sounding board. I tell stories in multiple forms - documentary film, novel, photography, mixed media art, grants - the bread and butter form. My primary purpose is to fuse storytelling and the study of creativity to attract projects that allow this fusion to develop and my body of work to grow. Lighting Designer

My school, ArTES Magnet HS in San Fernando (where the 210 and the 118 meet!) is looking for a Lighting Designer for our Fall Show, a Musical Revue.?
We are a small LAUSD arts school. Our theatre has a lot of new equipment, including many LEDs, movers, and an ION board.?
For now, I am paying $1,000 which is paid 2 weeks after the show closes. ?
The show dates are Nov. 6, 7, and 8 @ 7pm.?
Tech week would be the week before, starting with a LOOONG day on Sat 10/26th. If the designer isn’t able to be there that whole time, that would be ok.?
And then tech Week Mon-Fri (10/28-11/1) from 4-7pm. (We’d prob take off for Halloween if the person wanted to…)
And then another LOOONG Sat on 11/2 (9am-5pm). (Again, negotiable)
Then dress rehearsals Mon and Tues 11/4 and 11/5 4-7pm.?
Any OTHER times the designer wants to be in the theater to hang/focus before or outside of those times is absolutely fine.?
And bonus points if they also like mentoring our Tech Students! These students are trained and available to help with hanging/focusing….including on Saturdays.?
