Re: Home from Hamvention
I run a Flex 5000, there is no ALC connection on it. Just set the rig to run at 50 % power or less and it should be good to go.

Home from Hamvention
All:
I spent some time at the Palstar booth at the Hamvention on Sunday and was pretty impressed with what I saw. The result was that I picked up an LA-1K to replace the AL-1200 I've been using for a

Re: New firmware
If any thing I get more. At 50 watts from my Flex 6300 I am getting 1100 plus on the 20 and 17m bands. I don’t know if it has changed since I never use more than 800w.

Re: New firmware
Has anyone noticed lower power output since the update ? I consistently averaged 1100 watts shown on my LP-100 in SSB mode with 50 watts drive. Now I can't break 1K .

Re: New firmware
Did the 1.01C firmware update. While the swr spike is still seen by my Array Solutions wattmeter, its definitely less. Thanks.

Re: New firmware
Hi Rich,
It will mitigate some of the spike on the SWR in digital mode.

Re: New firmware
Pete was this to address some issues or just improve performance?
Will this help the high SWR spike on digital mode?

Re: New firmware
I haven't received a notice yet of a firmware update. I still have version 101A. Great piece of equipment.

Re: LA-1K Interface with Icom IC-7700
Rich,? Thanks for your reply. Originally was using Icom ic-7700 built in meter and observed the swr spike. Subsequently
installed a Array Solutions Power Master meter between radio and amp input.

LA-1K Interface with Icom IC-7700
Have had my LA-1K about two weeks. Driving it with Icom IC-7700. When keying amp in cw/rtty/digi modes, see large momentary
swr spike. Not seen on ssb. Drive power never more than 45 watts. Curious if

Re: Power meter

Re: New Owner
You will love it. Had mine now for just a month, works great. I got the matching HF AUTO antenna tuner to go with it.? Very Happy with both. Just make sure you drive it with less than 60 watts.

Re: New Owner
Its pretty straight forward. I have no issues with mine. Its going to
take some getting used to for me as I am not accustomed to having a fan
come on so quickly and the relay is pretty noisy. Not
