Re: SWR High SSB ONLY - When Using LA-1K Amp
开云体育Further to this, ? I have also tried sending CW out on 10m via my 3 element beam. CW is totally fine until I move down to 28.002 Mhz or lower. Then it does the same bypass as it does on the entire CW portion of 17m ? Its totally fine everywhere else on the 10m band. ? Anyone else having this issue??? ? Is this a programming thing in the amp to have it cut out near the 10m band edge so CBers don’t use this amp? And if so, maybe the programming thing is doing the same thing on the 17m CW portion for me. ? Just shooting in the dark as my background is computer science, not electronics. ? ? ? Re: SWR High SSB ONLY - When Using LA-1K Amp
开云体育Kent,?2 questions answered as a matter of fact. When i say now, that means, since i used a serial cable to the back of the amp using direct mode. Thats what now means. Since going direct mode. On Aug 8, 2020, at 8:56 AM, Barry Ploof <barplo@...> wrote:

Re: SWR High SSB ONLY - When Using LA-1K Amp
As I have reported before, I am also having this issue, but in my case it is only in digital modes. I can run SSB without issue, low or high power, but if I try to do a digital mode it will eventually kick out. I am only running about 100-150 watts into an end-fed long wire, but it also will do it at times into a dummy load. Also using a data cable, latest firmware. nothing helps. Palstar has no answer either.

I had the same error on my Windows 10 machiine. ?I found I needed to replace msvcr100.dll. ?You can obtain a new copy from any reliable source. ?I used Wiki DLL. ?You will be given a choice for either 32bit or 64bit. ?BTW, I had this problem on both Windows machines I tried. HTH, 73, AA9HB |

I had to use both a different Win PC AND different USB cable. Also, did not like Amazon Basics USB-A extension cable. Third USB A-B cable worked. The firmware does load fine once you have worked through the PC and USB cable issues. Lastly, follow the instructions as to the sequence to initiate the update - first time i was getting tripped up on the instructions. |
Re: Latest Firmware
Also, just be aware all USB B cables are not all wired completely through. It is fairly common to struggle? trying to connect to hardware without realizing as the operating systems don't tell you anything to indicate this, just that your data transfers will fail.? I've had consistently good luck with the TrippLite cables you can find on Amazon as they are used to get data stats and control UPS devices. They also have ferrites on them.
