Re: Question: Antenna Connections
My Hexbeam is on Ant 1 on the amp as it is 1.5 or less 10-20m. Ant 2 goes to the HF-Auto for the other antennas that need tuning. All the switching is automatic. I see no reason to run an antenna that

Re: Remote PC display
Hi Jerry
I use the LA-1K with TRX Manager as my.remote station monitor and works
great.
I am aware that TRX manager will not be supported after 2022 so always on

Re: Remote PC display
I do have it and use it for a few CAT commands I like to use for my 7610. The LA-1K control was a bonus. I do have a "lifetime" subscription to TRX and it still gets updates. You are correct though,

Re: Remote PC display
Unfortunately TRX Manager is no more and I have no need for any of the rest
of the suite.
It would be awesome if there was an app like this on its own but I haven't
found one. Could remote the amp

Re: Amp tripping out on 80 mtr CW
Hello All
After much testing and adjusting my IC-7610 I was finally able to eliminate this problem of not operating CW on 80 mtrs without the amp going in bypass mode. On the 7610 you can adjust the

TRX manager has a nice display for the LA-1K which can also control the amp:

Re: Problem on 80 mtr CW
It could be.But whats concerning to me is only on CW. I would try bypassing
everything on its way to the dummy load. Try without the tuner. And even
try another patch cord. Make another if you can.

Re: Problem on 80 mtr CW
Hi Barry
Interesting problem. This happens to me into a dummy load sitting 2 feet from the amp. And of course when through the HF-Auto into the antenna as well.
I will keep looking for a solution but

Re: Problem on 80 mtr CW
Hi Alan,
Yes, I have and have spoken to Mark about it. But it was on 17m. So, I
replaced my balun. Problem solved. Whats odd is it was only 17m CW and
thru the entire 17m band not just CW

Re: Problem on 80 mtr CW
My fldigi tests also take a bit of time, 8 seconds sounds about right. Sometimes I was able to get it to trip by just hitting "tune" which basically puts a continuous tone out. In those cases it seems

Alan,
I forgot to add that with my issue it also took about 8 seconds before it tripped. 1.07M is now on the web site. It looks like our issue was addressed in the version you have. Apparently without

Hi Al
Thanks for your input. I am running 1.08E and the problem is strange because it only happens after transmitting CW on 80 and only after 8 seconds . I will keep after it and hopefully get a

I have had a similar issue? on all bands with CW regardless of power and with 3 different radios driving the amp when using a direct band cable from the radio to the amp. Using normal mode on the amp

Re: Problem on 80 mtr CW
I have had this problem on 80m since new, trying to run fldigi. Have not tried ft8 as I recall, and I don't think I have the problem on other bands but I only work 80. Dummy load tied to my HF-AUTO

Problem on 80 mtr CW
I am a proud owner of this amp for one month. I also own the HF-Auto tuner and it works slick. I am a contester and have used this amp tuner combo in a RTTY and SSB contest running 800 watts SSB and

Re: Is the LA-1K the best amplifier to pair with the HF-Auto?
All firmware is the latest version. Also all equipment is grounded to 1 8 ft. ground rod outside the shack in a star configuration, not a daisy chain.
Thanks for the suggestions, but I did not mean to

Re: Is the LA-1K the best amplifier to pair with the HF-Auto?
As an AC power safety ground, the 3rd prong on power cords is adequate. The ground posts on equipment could help if there was no 3rd prong or maybe used for a station ground.

Re: Is the LA-1K the best amplifier to pair with the HF-Auto?
Understood.? Luckily, the power box is directly outside the shack, so the buss bar to power line ground wire is about 5' long.
Interesting concept, but one question, and not trying to be smart-butt.?
