I just wanted to say thanks for everyone sharing.? As I had mentioned in a previous post, I use the PTT which is supported, and have had no issues. However, after reading about some of you creating your own cable, I decided to do the same.? The cable works as intended, so I just wanted to say thanks again for sharing as it made the job a little easier.
I went about it a little differently -? Went with a cable on Ebay, which does use different colors, so I had to match them up, but wasn't an issue, but saved a few bucks as opposed to going through dxengineering.? ->?
For the DB9, I went with "Anmbest 2PCS DB9" which is on Amazon for 11 dollars for 2.
In case anyone else wants to buy the ebay 10pin mini-din here is the pin-out mapping.? Since this cable isn't specifically for Yaesu, I didn't put the function of the colors for the cable.
Lastly, if the pin was not used, I simply wrapped the end of the wire with electrical tape, and did not connect.
