KiCad 6.0 on Windows 10. I
didn't specify a path for saving, I just added the new Library
to the Library folder.

Which version of KiCad are you using?? Also, is this on Windows,

I am using Linux, and by default KiCad saves to
~/.local/kicad/7.0, but I can specify a different path if I
prefer.
