JMRI and HM7000 decoder #definitions

I am new to this group and would appreciate some help with an issue I have encountered. I am a JMRI user and run my railway using an Arduino Mega. I have a number of Hornby locos all of which I have been able to set up successfully through PanelPro. However, I have just purchased a new Hornby loco fitted with a HM7000 decoder which I have not been able to set up in JMRI. I cannot see an option for the HM7000 Txs in the list of Hornby decoders, and using the option in the Roster menu of getting JMRI to identify the decoder with the loco on the programming track has not been successful.?
I have read that selecting the decoder NRMA standard will work but I have not managed this either, maybe because beyond selecting this option, I am unsure what else is required.?
I have also read that some work is being done to add the HM7000 Txs to the list of decoders in JMRI so perhaps it's just a matter of being patient.?
I would be grateful for any advice on this subject.
?
Many thanks
Michael

Hi Michael, the latest test release 5.11.3 includes a decoder definition file for Hornby TXS (HM7000) decoders. It has been tested for the decoders I have and is based on the latest Hornby manual.
If you don't want to update to the test version you could add the Hornby.TXS file into your decoder definitions, but without an update to the java, included in 5.11.3, DecoderPro won't automatically detect the correct decoder definition, you will need to select it manually.

It is easiest to set up these decoders using Bluetooth and the HM|DCC app, then use PanelPro to run the locomotive. I will keep this short; ask if you need more detail.?
?
You can add the decoder to the JMRI roster as an NMRA-compliant device. Match the device address to the DCC address you have set up in Bluetooth, taking care to use a short or long address as you have decided, and set the associated CVs accordingly.
?
Use the app to switch from Bluetooth to DCC mode and then take control with a JMRI throttle.?

Thank you Peter & David
I have been using the new loco with HM7000 via the HM|DCC app. This works very successfully however my preference is to have one control system rather than two, hence my question.
I have done as David suggested and managed to get the NRMA option in the roster to work, once I changed the address (the default 3 was allocated to another of my locos). This is the only change I made, apart from switching from Bluetooth to DCC mode in the app. It is now functioning perfectly in JMRI.
Many thanks again
