Uninstalled JMRI 4.16.
I searched the c:\ drive for JMRI & kept deleting items until I was left
with documents with JMRI in the heading.

You are correct, for perishable loads, you shouldn't use the alternate track feature.? Instead you could have a yard track for the cars with perishable loads, and operate that yard in the FIFO

The way you describe the off-spot track would work poorly for any form of
