That's the way I'd go¡­ In the Sensor table create an internal sensor then in the layout editor choose the "Sensor Icon" (round) radio button and then the internal sensor in the combobox dropdown

Steve, The DB150 does not have CV readback ability (it lacks the required circuitry). JMRI cannot "'fix" that, so to read CV's you will need to obtain hardware such as the PR3 which supports that

?, I get a different validation error: SPASS1 is a duplicate signal mast user name. I loaded the file using 4.6 and renamed one of the user names and saved the panel xml file. I was then able to load

Dave, thanks for that clarification. I DO use the SPROG3 but always just considered it a type of interface. Didn't realize it was actually a DCC Emulator device. Go figure. I prefer the SPROG3 because

Your computer cannot program decoders directly, neither can JMRI DecoderPro (DecoderPro is just one particular part of the one JMRI program). The only way you can program a decoder is with DCC
