Thanks Bob for your effort.
The two Standard Detectors are at Order Number 3 & 4. I have an LNet Detector at order number 1. I have 5 Digitrax DS64. Here are my findings:? 1. The sensors table got populated with: US200:1-16, US202:1-16, & US203:1-16 2. The US202 is pointing to the 1st Detector at order number 3 3. The US203 is pointing to the 2nd Detector at order number 4 4. Both (202,203) are reading the status of sensors correctly? I'm not sure what what the US200 sensors list are pointing to... Again, thank you Bob for your efforts. Cheers |

Raymond, Don't use Oracle's Java 11. Use the Azul version. For a semi-step-by-step read this:: read the Caution at the bottom first!! On Tue, May 9, 2023 at 8:04?PM David dareese51 <dareese51@...> wrote:

Re: How to identify correct decoder in loco
#soundtraxx
Bob I posted the original post because when I tried to read a decoder in a new Athearn SD40-2 that I just purchased I got the entire list of Soundtraxx decoders. I believe the problem is that the decoder is too new to be identified. Here are the CV readings I got using my dedicated programming track:
toggle quoted message

cv7 is 71, cv8 is 141, cv253 is 3, cv254 is 2, cv255 is 9 and cv256 is 43. I have never had a problem reading a ESU or WOW decoder which is why I posted. I am not sure if this helps. David Reese On May 9, 2023, at 7:37 PM, Bob Jacobsen <rgj1927@...> wrote: |

Maybe it did not change the address and it is still 3

Thank you for testing that!
I found one more thing that could be relevant. If you have time, could you try the installers at: Thank you again! Bob On May 9, 2023, at 6:46 PM, Inobu One via groups.io <one2beros@...> wrote:— Bob Jacobsen rgj1927@... |

Thanks Peter......I saw / read his post. I think we eliminated that this could possibly be a DecoderPro issue. Thanks, have a good evening! Tim

Re: How to identify correct decoder in loco
#soundtraxx
Thanks for checking that. I had forgotten about that log message. I could have asked for that instead of the individual CV values.
This thread is about somebody who can’t get identification out of "Soundtraxx, Esu and WOW decoders”. We know which CVs JMRI reads for each of those;. What we don’t know is what’s coming back from his decoders,. Either he’s extremely unlucky and _all_ his decoders are somehow either broken or too new to be recognized, or there’s something wrong with how his DCC system is reading them. Getting the values will help figure that out, so I hope he either reads them and sends them, or sees this post and sends in what that log message says. I lean against added lots of extra info to the console log during normal operation. Although most people don’t have to look at the logs, when we do need to see them, it’s nice to have them short and to the point.. Adding the individual CV readout to _everybody’s_ log seems extra noise for little gain. Bob On May 9, 2023, at 4:08 PM, Phil G <phil@...> wrote:— Bob Jacobsen rgj1927@... |

Re: Possible changes to (LocoNet, but maybe all) Reporter behaviors
#reporters
I’ve built development installers that contain the proposed changes (listed below). I’d appreciate it if people using LocoNet Reporters would try them, particularly to see if they cause any problems!
The changes are 1) Fix to the Last Seen display in the IdTags table 2) “exits” LocoNet reports will not update Last Seen (LocoNet only) 3) “exits” reports won’t clear the corresponding “enter” report (LocoNet only) I haven’t changed the CBUS RFID behavior of clearing after a couple seconds, that’s for another thread. I’d very much appreciate feedback on these! Bob — Bob Jacobsen rgj1927@... |

Bob,
Here's what I found. 5.3.6 worked for me as all the sensors were populated. I verified my test setup with 4.26 and everything checked out. Checked 5.2 and it failed. Loaded 5.3.6 and it is good. Your change fixed it. I initially had the ECoSDetector setup a unit 5. This translated to 204:01. I changed my detector to 1 which JMRI saw and listed 200:01 The difference between Naji's and my finding is the devices itself. Naji is using the 50096 ECoSDetector Standard I am using the 50094 ECoSDetector The manual makes reference that the Standard is like the S88 module. I'm wondering if it is a S88. I don't have one (50096) to test. I think Niji should issue the command and see what his command station reply with. Inobu |

For your Sprog. you need to make sure your preferences are set for "Sprog Programmer" and not "Sprog Command Station"

Program On: and Mode: are both blank dropdowns (there is no "On Programming Track" dropdown).? I am using a Sprog3 and I am sure its connected because if I click the power button the loco wakes up.? Plus like I said it appeared to let me change the address but now the loco is non-responsive too.? To be sure I checked all the connections anyway on the Sprog3.? I am using Windows 10 BTW.

开云体育If you don't have the option to read decoders it sounds like JMRI doesn't think you have an interface active to do any programming On the pane that opens when you click "New Loco" what does it say at the top in the "On Programming Track" dropdown?? Phil G On 09/05/2023 20:58, rrlcommish via
