For scripts to work with JMRI, they have to be invoked from within JMRI. Not from within something else, i..e. the Thonny editor.
A Python script is just a text file; there¡¯s no compilation step.

Have a MR Friend who is fluent in German and he browsed the? HAG web site. They do not manufacture decoders, they use either ESU or Uhlenbrock decoders in the product they sell and they have nothing

If this is an old version Tsunami, you¡¯re likely to need a program track

Are you on test track ???? Test track would mean OPS mode programming.. There is no READ or ACK possible while in OPS (on main). They do a blind write.
