Re: Locobuffer locking up from data overload?
Lee, Thank you. In my case, I'm using the LocoBuffer USB Rev-n so I'm afraid that's not my issue. Was worth a try though! Thanks, Steve

Rodney, Because I am using the direct connectivity/interface between JMRI, I didn't have to fill in any of the decoder addresses. In order to properly follow your directions, do I now need to fill out

Re: Locobuffer locking up from data overload?
Steve, Your 'Custom' link cable would not have the red and green 'LocoNet' wires. Also you would need to turn off the 'Sync' switch on the SSB Gateway to prevent it from putting DC on the Railsync

Dick, Thank you for the clarification. I purchased your SSB gateway to create the standalone loconet. If I understand correctly, I can connect a locobuffer USB rev-n to my PC as a separate connection

Possible bug in 4.9.1

Re: JMRI running, loading and saving extremely slow
Sam, Most thumb drives have low read/write speeds. You would have to monitor this using the task manager or other tools to see what speed you are getting. I would not suggest that configuration.

Hi Sam, When you say "all data is stored in thumb drive", do you mean that you actually installed JMRI to the thumb drive? If so, then as Dave H already explained, that is most likely the cause of

If you have installed the JMRI software on a thumb drive rather than the C: drive, that will cause a massive performance loss. Thumb drives are incredibly slower (10-100 times slower) This will affect
