Re: Frequently Asked Questions/Topics/Official Announcements?
I use the daily email digest. This give me a summary of the posts of the prior day. Easy to pick and choose which to read.
?
In this way I monitor about 15 groups and it takes only minutes a day (not counting the time that I spend on the posts of interest).

Re: Track Analysis Tool
#operationspro
开云体育Byran, ? I have created a ‘spur/track’ which is a box for my cars that I rotate of the layout. Example I have a train that brings 5 cars on at the start of an operating session, then I physically place them where required. At the end of the session I have a train made up on a spur/track for off layout storage. I then physically remove the cars into the storage box. This allows me to keep the number of cars on the layout to a manageable level and ensure rotation of rolling stock. I do not have the physical space to build a storage yard etc. ? Noel ? Did you change the Jumper setting? I think there are jumps that need to be set on the USB Interface to work on all systems.
?
I thought there were exclusions to that the USB interface could send and relay.

John, I did a test with 5.11.4 and linking works fine. ? I'm a fairly novice user, but understand this functionality in the TRAIN BUILD options. ?What I'm not grasping is how this would be any different? ?Why would this be needed at the ROUTE level? |

Stewart, After trying to create a link, go to Help -> System Console. ?Click on the "Copy to clipboard" button and paste into a reply. What are the two block names for the track segments attached to the two edge connectors? You can also upload the layout data xml file to the group's ProblemsBeingWorkedOn file folder and we can review what you have done. Re: NCE PowerPro with USB - no AIU getting to JMRI

开云体育Georgia, ? That sounds like an issue in the cab bus wiring. When you physically moved the AIU boards, you left them at the original addresses they had before? It might be worth rechecking the wires as if one of them isn’t in contact, that would account for it not being seen. ? It might also be helpful to document for us which throttle numbers, AIU numbers, and for the PowerCab, its cab number. Also the pattern of the cab bus, what connects to which and so on down the line. ? When you switch from the PowerCab to the PH5, do you change the cab id of the AIU or leave them the same? ? At least when you could see the AIU in the ‘Show Cabs’ did the sensors work for that AIU? ? -Ken Cameron, Member JMRI Dev Team

Re: NCE PowerPro with USB - no AIU getting to JMRI

just an update...? ?Ken from JMRI sent a firmware update the for NCE Power Pro.? I installed that and form some reason I can see one AIU in the cabs but not both. I've gone thru all the correct addresses, and when I swap the AIUs physical position in the cab bus I can see the one I couldn't see before, but the first one tat was working i now gone..? between this and a week of teeth nashing.... I reinstalled my POWERCAB system and i'm using that for now, with everything operational as it should work.? I'm in the process of setting up a test bench for the PowerPro and a couple blocks ( BD20s, and two AIUs ) to try to simplify and figure out exactly what is happening.? |

I'm not accomplished enough yet with OpsPro to comment meaningfully, but it seems like a useful idea.
