attached this gadget to the other end only 4 of the 6 green led's light<
Bill,
That's ok there are only four LED's on that board. If you look at the
back of the small pc board you will see;
RAIL-
LOCO2
LOCO1
RAIL+
When you plug it in and get four LED's lit it is working ok. It can even be
ok if 3 LED's light. Usually you get three LED's if nothing else is plugged
into the LocoNet and 4 will light if a throttle is plugged in. This is
because in a throttle some of those wires are shorted together which is the
way it should be.
Now, I plugged it in and all of a sudden DEBUG-LOCOBUFFER monitor started
recording activity<
I assumed you plugged in the new cable you just made. This is good.
When I experimented with turning off FLOW CONTROL --sic--<
Remember with each change you must shut down DecoderPro and restart it.
return the program to the original settings, but cannot get the locobuffer
activity<
I have at times had strange things happen by just shutting down
DecoderPro and restarting it as I said above. I now, on occasion, will
reboot the computer. Not sure why I do that and it shouldn't make any
difference but it seems to! Probably a Windows thing.
