Morgan: yes, he did say it runs in both directions on DC, but that was without the decoder inside. Whether it runs in both directions on DC with the decoder in place (and programmed to enable DC running) is a whole different matter - and that was my question.

But thanks for making the point, because it was too easy to misread.
