I'm looking at how to prevent allocation beyond the next block rather than an entire path or multiple sections.
I want trains responding to signals only i.e.?the signal protects the next block (or blocks grouped by logix) and that's all that would be allocated in advance. The signaling system would control conflicts when the further track/components would require allocation.
So far the lack of clarity around limiting section allocation in dispatcher has me leaning towards using warrants instead (with 'Clearance to Share Route' setting). The doco suggests that would use signal aspects.
I would be interested to know how you can tailor allocation with software settings rather than introducing additional hardware.
