Locked Re: Dispatcher, can I slow down allocation of sections? #automation #autotrain #dispatcher

Hi Malcolm, assuming you're using signal masts, what I do, and you can try, if you start by using the Held feature which can be set and reset by Logix (or Logix NG), then using some additional sensors add delays in setting these and clearing held masts depending on your timings. We have a weekly UK zoom group if your interested, pm me. John

Hi,

I am successfully running trains automatically using dispatcher and after much effort it is very satisfying. However, now I want to make operations a little more? prototypical. I am modelling a British single line so have bi- directional working and use dispatcher allocating between safe sections. When the single line becomes free to the next safe section dispatcher instantly allocates the whole path and there is a 'clatter' of actions from points and signals as these move to new positions. I have searched without success for a method to allocate in a timely manner each section from the current position to the next safe section in the manner of a manual signal box operation? Any suggestions?

I am running:
PanelPro 5.2
Java 11
Windows 11
Merg CBus

Thanks

Malcolm
