I connected a siding that was isolated from the main line by insulating connectors.
I then attached a power connection to that siding and to an Atlas power router.
Thus I could select programming track on the NCE Power Cab, route the NCE Power cab
solely to that siding and perform the changes to CV.
Once that was finished, I could run the locomotive onto the main line.
That simple. Did not need boosters or any other devices.
