Wow! I stand corrected. Yes, a 1K ohm resistor, or a 12v light bulb. And I apologize that since this is a JMRI forum, I must admit to not being familiar with that. Just that IMHO the only thing I do on programming track is change the 03. All other programming I do on the OPS on the layout. I'm sure that JMRI might even be better than all this. As for the resistor. I wired the DCS50 to a terminal, the terminal is wired to the pt. The resistor is across those wires at the terminal. And it's been there for a while. And nothing has burned out. But realize that this pt is not connected all the time. Only when needed to change that 03. K.I.S.S.
