With a Mac, multiple installed versions are trivial:
- Simply rename the JMRI folder you dragged to the Applications folder to e.g. JMRI V4.6.
- Drag a new JMRI version to the Applications folder and rename it to e.g. JMRI V4.8.
-DO NOT rename the ~/Library/Preferences/JMRI folder. That will not work

Can anyone tell me if there is a way to run two versions of jmri. My present version is working but later versions give me problems so I have not updated in a while.

Can i install the latest version of jmri without damaging or over writing the existing version.

Using a Mac book pro using the mac version and windows xp version using parallels.
