- Simply rename the JMRI folder you dragged to the Applications folder to e.g. JMRI V4.6.
- Drag a new JMRI version to the Applications folder and rename it to e.g. JMRI V4.8.
-DO NOT rename the ~/Library/Preferences/JMRI folder. That will not work
