Re: Maintenance App issues or question
Randy once gave us a link to the tasks that Maintenance performs, for those of us who can't get it to run - and of course I can't find it. I know sudo periodic daily weekly monthly, and cleaning caches, but what else is there?
Thanks, Barbara

The expensive OWC Aura Pro is not in a computer any more - it’s in an Envoy Pro enclosure. The looks like a good old rotating harddisk is showing on the 2TB SSD that came with my 2023 14” MacBook Pro - just like Apple intended ?

Apple hasn’t typically been concerned with nostalgia. I wonder how long it will take Apple to update that old icon?

AV performance comparison
In the interests of spreading knowledge, I offer this screenshot from my latest running of EtreCheck Pro... a system information and diagnostic tool for macOS. It scans your Mac and provides detailed information about your hardware, software, and system settings. EtreCheck can also identify potential problems with your Mac, such as malware, adware, and other issues.
It’s a quiet morning and for the first time I started clicking on some of the links produced by running EC and reading its report in detail.
Here is what they offered on AV software.

Could it be that you altered the generic icon, rather than the icon used for the external drive?
I don’t often alter icons, but did you do it my changing the Get Info icon of the exterior drive on the desktop?

Re: Odd TextEdit printing behavior
Once I scroll past the subject line, it is like it never existed. And you had no mention of it in the body. So much for why I misunderstood.?
Does not the modern versions of Text Edit now accept graphics? If so, then it is treating it like an image and not text.?
