Internet Config Query

Okay, so it's also a Eudora Pro question...
I'm using iCab as my browser of choice. It is selected in Unternet Config. BBEdit goes to iCab automatically. However when I click on a link in an email (in Eudora), it opens and runs Navigator... :-( I looked through every setting in Eudora, and there are no areas dealing with "helper apps". AND, I've checked the setting which gives "full compliance with OT/PPP"...so, now what? Where else would there be a setting or Preference? Inside Navigator, itself? Thanks for your considerations. Oh, and by the way, why is it, that after months of sending styled text in text enriched (not html) format, two of my digests all of a sudden won't accept the posts? I'm debating whether or not I want to change my settings in Eudora for 2 digests, when I have 800 other addresses that accept enriched text. All the Best, BrianS |

Whenever you install a new operating system, it is best to do a clean installation. And, while backing up your files is always a good idea, no files should be removed by the installation process. When you perform a clean installation, you will get a new, fresh System Folder, but the old system is still there (it's just inactive) in a folder called Previous System Folder. Outside of these two folders, no other files should be affected. Hope this helps. Brent Pennington Stacey Roof wrote: Thanks, I'll do that...Also, when I did the install, I did it right |

I'm not sure if the brand/vendor matters either, but I recently
bought a 128 upper slot chip for our Powerbook, and it works great. I did a lot of calling around and no one could beat this company: 1-800-4-MEMORY or their website: Hope this helps, Stacey I'm in the market for a 128 or 256 MB memory module for my B&W G3/450.-- Stacey Roof <mailto:stacey@...> Work: 303-545-9683 Home: 303-554-0546 Mobile: 303-517-2840 |
Re: Salon.com attacks the Mac!

Okay, wait a minute. When I first started reading the column at
<>, I was upset and prepared to take arms. After reading the entire column, however, I concede the man's point. After all, this is the same Apple that put the screws on the school district where I work, all because we went with a third-party lease instead of the Apple lease to buy all our equipment. IMHO, as long as we're willing to spend tens of thousands of dollars on Macintosh computers, Apple should be nice to us. Sure they also wanted the lease and that interest money too, but oh well, then they should have offered better terms. Yet since Apple lost the lease, they were - well for a lack of a better word - rude to us, at a time when we were spending $35,000 on their products (and spent over $20,000 last year, and who knows how much next year). I think I'm going to write the author and tell him that I see his point and, unfortunately, have to agree with him. Jon Bonner |

over the top of 8.6 rather than a clean install. I have soooooo many large files that it takes forever to save them all on my zip 100 (I just did this when I did a clean install of 8.6, took me 25 zip discs) I'm wondering if there is a way to install the 9 along side the 8.6 while still maintaining stability AND the contents of my hard drive. I remember from experience that when the bar is full and that it refuses to change, my computer slows down and is more crash prone. The big deal is... it does it even after a restart. Outlook Express vs Eudora Pro 3.1.3
Seeker
I am currently using a somewhat dated version of Eudora Pro; i.e.,
v3.1.3 I would be much obliged if anyone would care to comment on whether it would behoove me to dump my version of Eudora Pro in favor of the most recent version of Outlook Express. Many thanks, Seeker. |

The machine currently has 196 installed, all of it by Apple when I ordered the machine. I truly haven't a clue whether or not the brand of memory actually matters, and I'd love some help. I bought memory from one of the Macintosh Resource Page's (<>) a long time ago and was pleased with the experience. The RAMWATCH price list currently undercuts the catalog vendors I know of significantly. The current vendor list includes Data Memory Systems, MacMart, MemoryToGo, Other World Computing, and RamJet. I'd appreciate feedback on which of these vendors I should look at most closely, and which (if any) I should avoid, based on your experience. I'm more interested in the "quality" of memory that the vendor supplies, because I know poor customer service gets you bounced from RAMWATCH, but if any of you DO have rotten experiences with current RAMWATCH vendors, I guess I'd like to know about that, too :-) Thanks! printing in Internet Explorer
Dane Robison
The answer to this is probably right in front of me, but I can't find it.
In MSIE, when I try to print a web site that's built in frames, I can only print one frame at a time. Isn't there an option somewhere to change that behavior? I'd like to print the whole frameset, as it appears in the browser. Can someone point this poor soul toward the answer? Thanks, Dane |
