This may be a bit clumsy to describe.
Some of my Macs have more than one internal hard drive. When dragging items from one drive to another the item is of course, copied rather than simply moved from point A to point B. This unwanted copying occurs even when moving items from a non-startup drive to the desktop. Duplicating and deleting items appearing has become tedious.
Is there a modifier key (or keys) that would prevent the copying, and allow a mere moving?
This act would almost be the opposite of holding the Option key when dragging an item on a single drive, when one does wish to make a duplicate.
