I get the digest version and using Eudora 5.0 (the free version - with no ads) I receive only written text, no flashing or otherwise annoying advertisements. I do receive, at the very end of the digest the following message: [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] This I can handle.......
I did turn off HTML in the Settings window under Fonts and Display. Maybe that is what eliminates the ads.
