Wouldn't a virtual machine with an app to ¡°restore¡± the SSD on a Mac, only ¡°restore¡± the virtual machine partition/volume, and not the Mac partition/volume?

I wonder how many people ONLY have a Mac. In my own case, I have the choice of all three operating systems. I dual boot Linux and Windows, but my Mac stays as a Mac, although virtual machines are of course possible. For those with only a Mac, it is probably easier to innstall a Linux virtual machine than a Windows virtual machine.
