I think this info, saved from an old message, is what you are looking for:
If you replace the "IE 5 Control Library" file in the "Active X Controls"
folder inside the "Extensions" folder inside the System folder with a
SimpleText document of the same name, it will never use IE to render complex
HTML messages inline. Instead, it will just use the built in rendering,
which can't do thinks like images, tables or remote content. There are no
security issues with the built in rendering.
