My 7000 has always tended to run hot but I built up a pair of 12v fans with a standalone bracket to maintain a decent supply of cooling air.
Have always used this and have never had the driver issue

My IC7000 has ran hot since new, and I never really worried about it. ( on most days all day). Then I read about a fan mod where a simple mod would allow fan to run continuously.

(2020) Japanese bandplan includes 6m.
Not sure if you have put one of your 7000 boards inside a Japanese 7000 permanently but there is a diode matrix in the 7000 just like most modern transceivers so

If anyone has a faulty logic board that is not from a Japanese radio I may be able to read the contents of the eeprom to make a comparison .
