开云体育My 7000 has always tended to run hot but I built up a pair of 12v fans with a standalone bracket to maintain a decent supply of cooling air.?
Have always used this and have never had the driver issue in the finals even with a heavy duty cycle on FT8. Rig is only used as a driver for a 23cm transverter these days so only runs less than 2watts on two metres.?

My IC7000 has ran hot since new, and I never really worried about it. ( on most days all day). Then I read about a fan mod where a simple mod would allow fan to run continuously.
I did the mod and it runs very cool now all day. Admittedly, I spend a lot of time receiving with very little transmitting each day.
I believe the cooler running is probably better for the radio.
There are a couple of different fan mods on the internet, so have a look at them and decide which is best for you.
Hope this helps.
