Do you have a "MW" or "memory write" button? I can't look at a manual right now but it's common for Icom to have this button. Some work this way... quick push of the MW button, the memory

Once I get the FM freq, dup, & tone working (so I can connect with the repeater) I push " V menugrp " to exit the tone set mode. What are the next steps to program a memory channel? Gene, K7HPF

It’s just volume. Whistle, say a long ‘fiiiiiive’, white noise; all good. Just drive it as hard as you can. You don’t need an RF meter of any sort to set idle current. Thank You Paul

You can probably skip the drive adjustments and maybe the power output adjustments but you absolutely need to do the idle adjustment. You do need a special set up for the drive (not driver)
