Re: No audio, no transmit after programming IC-7000
Didn't he VERY clearly say he'd used RT systems software. I don't understand the digression to Chirp Regards Richard VK2EIK

Re: No audio, no transmit after programming IC-7000
I¡¯ve been using chirp forever on many radios. Never bricked one. Never heard of Chirp bricking a radio from my friends and acquaintances either. -g-

Re: No audio, no transmit after programming IC-7000
No I have not updated the radio.? It did work before the reprogramming.? I checked to see if it was working and to see if one of the "new" repeaters was programmed in.? It was not so I added it to

Re: CW filter passband width
Yes.? Any of the filters can be modified from their defaults down to 50Hz.? You might also change the shape to Soft to minimize ringing. Scott N7SS

Re: CW filter passband width
Go to M-1 then hold "FIL" to get to the filter selector. Each time you press "FIL" you will cycle through the 3 CW filters. Hold F-1 "BW" and turn the great big knob on the right to adjust it up or

CW filter passband width
I see where the narrowest CW filter is 250 hz.? However, from the manual am I to understand that I can reduce the CW bandwidth even more, to 50 hz?

Re: No audio, no transmit after programming IC-7000
Did you try it before the update and did it work then? It may be totally unrelated to the update. Is is possible that pure age sitting in the closet and boredom caused a problem is a central part of

No audio, no transmit after programming IC-7000
My IC-7000 had been sitting a while and has a history of very light use. One night I pulled it out and decided to update the local repeaters. After programming the IC-7000 with R T Systems software, I

Re: To DATA jack or Accessory jack, that is the question.
Hi Darrell, USB is used for all data modes on HF as far as I know, but you would have to select USB manually. I haven't used CAT control on mine so I don't know if Winlink or any other software will

Re: To DATA jack or Accessory jack, that is the question.
Well technically the Signalink won't do any baud. ? I have used mine on VARA FM WIDE and have achieved 25210 bps in both sending and receiving Winlink emails. 73 John Denison KD5YOU

Re: To DATA jack or Accessory jack, that is the question.
A Signalink will not do 9600 baud. I suppose they have their place but I don't own nor will I ever. John, I found the 9600 setting you mentioned. M3 F-4, thanks for the tip. To: "ic7000"

Re: To DATA jack or Accessory jack, that is the question.
Hi John, Signalink USB's always use USB mode on the rig and makes a matching cable for each rig so it's an easy setup. I just got my 7000, and I'm getting ready to hook up a Signalink USB but haven't

Re: To DATA jack or Accessory jack, that is the question.
I tried using the Accessory port with my Signalink but it would never key up the radio. When I switched to the 6 Pin DIN plug it worked fine. I haven't tried my Digirig on the IC-7000, but the 6 Pin

Re: To DATA jack or Accessory jack, that is the question.
I always used the 6 pin mini jack. I don't remember what they called it. If you use this jack I think that the front mike is automatically muted in digital transmission. Your mileage may vary.

To DATA jack or Accessory jack, that is the question.
I setup a DigiRig to my IC-7000 and connected the audio in/out/PTT to the Accessory connector. I was wondering if there is a compelling reason to use the DATA jack instead? From what I read in the
