Norm, I'll let you know after I talk to the tech at MFJ. He's out on vacation until the end of next week. But I think it is a timing problem since the TUNER light comes on but the tuner is not

Re: [IC-7000] Auto tune help
Thanks, I did call MFJ but their tech is on vacation until the end of next week. I think you are correct, however, since I can see the TUNER icon but the tuner itself is not activated. I guess I will

Re: [IC-7000] Auto tune help
Check with the builder of the tuner! I know that at least one tuner manufacturer had to come up with a different activation method for their product when the 7000 came out. * * * * * * * * * * * * 73

Re: [IC-7000] Auto tune help
I don't think that is the problem since the tuner is powered from the IC-7000. Actually I have tried it both ways (wall wart and from the rig) and that doesn't seem to matter. I have the MFJ cable so

Re: [IC-7000] Auto tune help
Thanks, I have the MFJ cable for the tuner so the power is supplied from the 7K. I also enabled PTT and that works okay but I didn't want to have to use that feature to get it to tune up. I also went

Re: [IC-7000] Auto tune help
The tuner has to be powered on before you turn on the 7000 as the rig checks for an external tuner during its initialization. 73 de Perry K4PWO Sent on the Sprint? Now Network from my BlackBerry?

Re: [IC-7000] Auto tune help
There are tuner settings in the 7k menu that need to be enabled. I enabled PTT so every time I hit PTT when going to a new freq it tunes and don't use tune button. Reminder the 7000 looks for a tuner

Auto tune help
I just purchased an IC-7000 along with an MFJ-929 auto tuner with Icom cable and am not sure how this all works. I press the TUNER/CALL button on the rig and 'Tuner' shows on the display but nothing

Re: tot
The "new feature" seems to only apply to new firmware updates available for the IC-7600 & 7800. I find nothing about TOT being available for the 7K. Icom doesn't update 7K firmware.... Steve, W3AHL

Re: RS-BA1 Setup for Remote VoIP usage and Transmit Problem (Bug?)
You have to use an interface to get recieved and transmit audio into and out of the radio. Easiest way is to use a sound card interface like you use to work PSK. I use a signal link and it works

Re: ALC question
You do not adjust the ALC. If you have your mic gain adjusted properly the ALC should never go into the red section on the readout. If it is going there then you have too much mic gain. I can run the

I have owned a 7000 for 3 years and never knew there was a transmit time out function. Are you sure you do not mean the Auto Power Off timer? Rick VE3FMC

Re: [IC-7000] Strange issues with output power
Yes.... it is about 2 hour work, many solder points and bolts to remove. Driver, antenna connector etc But I bet 10 X 1 that's it. I get the relay on stock but I think it easy to get from Icom UK.

Re: [IC-7000] Strange issues with output power
I¡¯ve seen this problem more than once. Some relay from the harmonic filter is stuck. In your case probably one for 10 meter band. Note that is the band it work better, 90 W. Because of it the other
