This may mean that the audio out from?the FT8 software is too low.

The strength?of the SSB signal is in part controlled by the strength of the audio signal being tranmiitted.

Re: IC-7000 with full ALC in HF

How does the ALC behave using SSB, where are you feeding in the RTTY signals?

On SSB set mic gain to zero, there should be no ALC when you speak.

I beleive was an adj issue so I have dona all adjustament as service
manual describes.

Before bias driver and finals (1? & 2), no problem, Gain HF1, HF2, HF3;
then power 1, 10 , 25, 50, 75, 90 and 105 watt, perfect !

ALC setting ok

But when I go in RTTY full power I have ALC meter completly in full

I suppose there is an block in TX-chain doesn't work very well so CPU
pumps ALC to max.

Does anyone have any suggestions ?

Thanks in advance.

Re: IC-7000 with full ALC in HF

The ALC is derived from the forward power senseor. As the power control is working, the fault dhould not br too difficult

Re: donor ic7000

Dear Tommy,
When we switch on the radio the relay vibrates indefinitely and won't switch on..i thought it may be cpu issue so got one cpu and replaced but the problem persists, i can send that extra cpu if you need, regarding the cpu issue..a recalling from mobile phone technician on the dsp ic solved many cpu issues ,

Hey Andrew,

Thank you, that's very kind. They had some of the parts and may be able to
find others from scrapped radios. They asked that I send them a mailing
address and they'll send an invoice over. If you're good with that, please
directly email me your shipping address.

Thanks!

has the following parts, new or used, please let me know:

Band down button: MP34 (F)
Desk stand: MP33 (C), MP32 (C), MP31 (C), and MP19 (C) x 4

I've contacted Icom support but those parts are no longer available
from
them.
