Wow.. a fellow ham just posted a message about a concern with his radio and these are his responses. I had to take a second look to see what group I was in. I was sure this was the IC 7000 reflector.

The Manual says the clock may lose a couple of minutes a month and does not suggest what may be done about it ¨C I readjust it when I think of it (Quick set screen) By the way it has a Second clock

1) as Mac said, car battery looong way from radio 2) if a short develops anywhere along the cable leading to the radio and is before the fuses then the entire cable length up to the fault will bear
