Re: Auto tune help
There is a menu setting in the MFJ-929 that has to be set to "Icom" before it will work. It is described on page 19 of the manual. I got nailed by that little detail when I bought my MFJ-929 a couple

Ic7000 and the Icom PW1 amp
I dont seem to be able to connect the IC 7000 to my PW1 amp. The PW1 works fine with my IC775DSP, so its looks like it is not a failure of the PW1. Any help/suggestions appreciated. Iain ZL1IW

Re: [IC-7000] Auto tune help
That would be appreciated! It's a nuisance, but not impossible to reach across the table to get to the tuner 'tune' button. ;-) Hope you had a good Christmas, and all the best in the new year (that

Re: [IC-7000] Auto tune help
Norm, I'll let you know after I talk to the tech at MFJ. He's out on vacation until the end of next week. But I think it is a timing problem since the TUNER light comes on but the tuner is not

Re: [IC-7000] Auto tune help
Thanks, I did call MFJ but their tech is on vacation until the end of next week. I think you are correct, however, since I can see the TUNER icon but the tuner itself is not activated. I guess I will

Re: [IC-7000] Auto tune help
Check with the builder of the tuner! I know that at least one tuner manufacturer had to come up with a different activation method for their product when the 7000 came out. * * * * * * * * * * * * 73

Re: [IC-7000] Auto tune help
I don't think that is the problem since the tuner is powered from the IC-7000. Actually I have tried it both ways (wall wart and from the rig) and that doesn't seem to matter. I have the MFJ cable so

Re: [IC-7000] Auto tune help
Thanks, I have the MFJ cable for the tuner so the power is supplied from the 7K. I also enabled PTT and that works okay but I didn't want to have to use that feature to get it to tune up. I also went

Re: [IC-7000] Auto tune help
The tuner has to be powered on before you turn on the 7000 as the rig checks for an external tuner during its initialization. 73 de Perry K4PWO Sent on the Sprint? Now Network from my BlackBerry?

Re: [IC-7000] Auto tune help
There are tuner settings in the 7k menu that need to be enabled. I enabled PTT so every time I hit PTT when going to a new freq it tunes and don't use tune button. Reminder the 7000 looks for a tuner

Re: tot
The "new feature" seems to only apply to new firmware updates available for the IC-7600 & 7800. I find nothing about TOT being available for the 7K. Icom doesn't update 7K firmware.... Steve, W3AHL

Re: RS-BA1 Setup for Remote VoIP usage and Transmit Problem (Bug?)
You have to use an interface to get recieved and transmit audio into and out of the radio. Easiest way is to use a sound card interface like you use to work PSK. I use a signal link and it works
