CB – before you rip the rig apart… does your configuration support other digital modes (i.e. PSK, FT-8, Olivia, etc)?? Are you using any sort of commercial interface between the computer and your rig (i.e. a or )?? Are you simply trying to connect PC audio to the 13-pin port – missed that in your config.
My configuration (with the 7K) works just fine, feeding it with a .? In my case, I also have a separate USB CAT cable (because I use this on Ubuntu and macOS in addition to Win10 (RIGblaster virtualizes the USB to provide the audio interface and CAT from a single USB connection (only on Win10)).?

What connector are you feeding the audio into? The book says that the front mike is disconnected win digital. Perhaps the audio signals are not going into the proper pins?
Does it work on WSJT-X?
1 DATA IN Input terminal for data transmit. (1200 bps: AFSK/9600 bps: G3RUH, GMSK)
2 GND Common ground for DATA IN, DATA OUT and AF OUT.
3 PTT P PTT terminal for packet operation. Connect to ground to activate the transmitter. When grounded, microphone input (pin 6) of [MIC] connector will be disconnected.
4 DATA OUT Data out terminal for 9600 bps operation only.
5 AF OUT Data out terminal for 1200 bps operation only.
6 SQL Squelch out terminal. This pin is grounded when the transceiver receives a signal which opens the squelch. ? To avoid interfering transmissions, connect squelch to the TNC to inhibit transmission when squelch is open. ? Keep RF gain at a normal level, otherwise a “SQL” signal will not be output

Hi Team
I have an IC-7000, transmits well with hand mic both FM and SSB. Transmits Tune tone well.
When using JS8CALL, audio is not getting onto the signal, I see no power fluctuation on the meter.
I’m using the DATA port, receiving and decoding signals fine.
I’ve verified the audio signal is present all the way to the pin on the DATA connector, using oscilloscope.
The tune button on JS8CALL software also does not cause modulation (radio does go to TX, controlled by CAT)
Now get this: I use the monitor function on the IC-7000, and I hear the JS8CALL tones on the 7300!! So the signal is getting to the radio.
Do I have a DATA socket problem??

Yes, the ML920S/DN works fine.? It has the same surface mount tabs as the /F9D.? The only difference is the coin cell has an insulating wrap around it, which is fine.? The price at digikey.com is $2.18 USD, quantity 1.
Just be carefull not to short the leads together when handling.? Use ESD protection when handling any PCB, but especially the Logic board.

My understanding?is:
- if it is running SSB on HF, then SWR is fed to ALC and audio, and hence output, throttled back to protect the front ends.
This protection is not?available?on AM,CW, or FM.

By design, it is supposed to reduce output power, however...
My experience has been that at high power levels, it will blow the driver transistor.?
To help avoid an expensive repair,? reduce power to 10 watts or less for initial tuning, and monitor your SWR as you slowly increase power.
I also find using a good external auto-tuner with the correct interface cable is wise.? I use an LDG IT-100 tuner.

Before the problem below developed, all control cables and coax disconnected (due to approaching storms), I have a disconnect area outside the house about 20 feet away.? I place the "house" bundle about 2 feet way from antenna area bundle of coax and various control lines to rotor, switches, etc.? SUSTAINED a lightning strike on the densely wooded hill behind me, may have hit an antenna, all 150 feet away.? But you could smell burnt wood, so some tree was hit.? Steep, rocky climb so not been up there yet.?
Results:? Wire damage and blown connector to the outdoor phone cable used.? This at the "disconnected end" of that remote switch run.? No other visible damage.??Inside, besides coming out of the chair from sound/flash from strike, no visible damage.? The lights barely blinked.? Multiple TVs, electronics in the house, and ALMOST all the equipment in the shack is still fine.? (1) The?station PC is dead.? YES ... audio, data, etc cables, connect EVERYTHING else in the shack to that PC.??Not the power supply, so the motherboard and beyond suspected.??
But to the point, (2)?the backup IC-7000 TX light stays lit RED, no sound out of speakers.? ?Output is fine.? CW keys.? SSB voice peaks show.? RTTY & FM go to normal power out.? All navigation through menus is normal.? I did a hard reset but same situation after that.? All connectors to the rig removed except for antenna coax -- and key during CW test, and Mic just for SSB test.
Any ideas?? Since all functioning of the unit otherwise looks good, power, processor, etc. ...? I hate to send it off before asking here.? Thanks.
