Check again on that airliner thing. Boeing has announced quite a few
sales of its new planes and cited some specifications that basically
undercut the AirBus cost per passenger mile.

Concerning the market: I doubt if France is a key market for Icom. To me
it looks that the USA is the biggest market for HAM radio gear so one should
expect the announcement and release in the USA. But since Airbus took over
the market for large jetliners from Boeing the Japanese might focus on
Chirac and his friends...

This could well be a good clue as I dont't think it happens first in
France. Laws are too tight in terms of certification and thus making
things appear later in this territory.

I guess only time will tell, but I vote this is not a hoax.
