Last spring, at Claremore (Oklahoma State ARRL Convention) I bought a IC-7000 as close to "New in Box" as there is.. The guy was at the table next to me.. As the 2 day swap progressed his price came down and my sales progressed to where about 2 hours before the show was over and all the crowds had waned. $500 was the final price. Now-some will say I wore him out. Not so, 3000-4000 people had a chance to buy it before me.? I have one all ready in my car. But having a backup is a good thing. Saves taking a big box radio somewhere like POTA-SOTA or some vacation. I hate learning new menus and setups.. etc.
