I have had three of them and enjoyed each.
Two I bought from an estate sale and they were Click - Click dead and I was able to fix one, bought another one as a spare and then was able to fix the third with a donor dead front panel that was repairable.
For the time I used these radios they provided great service and are absolutely beautiful radios.
A few problems and replacing a driver and other trouble issues along the way and the decreasing availability of replacement parts led me to sell (slowly) and buy an IC-7300.
The last one was sold to finance buying an IFR FM/AM 1200 Super S communications monitor.
So I am IC-7000less and I still miss them! I should have kept at least one of them, but I may get over it.
The IC-7000s are getting a little long in the tooth but are still a beautiful radio and a new one might be worth $1200 to the right buyer. I suggest advertising on Ebay to find that buyer.
