Re: [hammond_zone] UK prices
Sounds about right, ?2500 for an A100 is about tops, we sold one (pictures in the museum) with a retro MIDI kit fitted...pretty much mint, for ?2500 a month back, but the guy has a warranty with it

I've just had a look at the Loot website and it seems as though prices have gone up recently (at least judging by the hopefuls who are asking 2750 pounds for a split C3 and Leslie 147 or 2500 for an

Re: [hammond_zone] New poll for hammond_zone
Thanks for the info Peter and Gren,
I think the leslie must be a 247, because as peter said, the horn is at the bottom of the enclousure. The amp blew up not long ago, and on removing it, I

Re: [hammond_zone] New poll for hammond_zone
A 247 is the same as a 147, it's in a "decorator" lower profile

Brilliant Darren .. many thanks
I'm sure glad I found this list .. I've learned more about my Hammond in the short while I've been on here than in all the 30 odd years I've had the organ.
If anyone

The Chelmer Valve company is an excellent UK source for new and tested tubes, they are very reasonable and use only highest quality tubes. They supply me with valves for the 122 Leslie and XB3. Also I

Hum (was Re: [hammond_zone] Power Supply Info)
Why do you say that? (Do you mean heater to cathode leakage in the
rectifier? That doesn't make sense --- the 5U4 does not have a
separate cathode: the header is the cathode.) (If you mean
