Subject: 900 miles NE from Barbados
?
Hell Gang,
Happy New Year from the Atlantic Ocean we are 900 miles NE of Barbados where we spent New Year's Day and cycled 32 miles up the west coast of the island. with temp around 28c in heavy tropical rain showers we got just a little moist Hi!
We now have five more days at sea before our next port of call at the Azores. I hope to be on the radio for most of the time as the weather should be kind enough as we operate on the open deck. Once we leave the Azores we may only get a single day to operate as the weather worsens and we have to take down our antenna and feeder etc. Also dismantle and pack away our bicycles in preparation for disembarkation. on 12th January.
We are now three hours behind GMT I will again be on the previous listed frequencies 14.225 14.058........ 21.225, 21.058.........24.960. 24.906 28.365 28.058 Near dusk I may move to 10.116 I am likely to be on 10m & 12m during our midday at about 1500GMT...if conditions allow but nothing is certain.
For nautical among you our current position is 19.5N & 51 .2 W on a course of 51 degrees with speed of 17knts into a NE wind at 30knts
Hope to catch on the wireless!
