Re: W4RT Dual filter PCB
Just received my 500HZ filter from INRAD. They still have filter stock so the filters are available for $140.

Re: W4RT Dual filter PCB
Rick,
Excellent question!
At Present the Best alternative is the SotaBeam unit, a bit tricky (for older eyes ) to install but equivalent to the W4 board.
With a 3000mAh battery the setup is best

Re: W4RT Dual filter PCB
What good would it do to have the board if the filters are no longer available ?

Re: W4RT Dual filter PCB
I have some blank boards.? I'd be willing to photograph one, provided someone can point to a way to get permission to copy it from the original designer.? I've no desire to get involved in a dispute

Re: W4RT Dual filter PCB
There should definitely be a resolution of the board's copyright
before simply copying it.
According to QRZ.com, W4RT is a club call. Start there...

Re: W4RT Dual filter PCB
Hi Andy,
I would suggest that, if W4RT is not SK, then he should be approached and asked for permission to replicate his board or, failing that his family should be asked for the permission.

W4RT Dual filter PCB
Now that W4RT has ceased trading, has anyone tried to copy / replicate the PCB?
Or if you have an unused board would you be willing to make the appropriate images so one could be made?
Thanks Andy

Re: CW filter options
P.S. Linear Technology and Texas Instruments for audio filter ICs as well. One can also homebrew multipole as many orders as needed as Chebyshev, Butterworth, etc. with op amps.

Are we talking about IF or audio filters? Are Murata filters a candidate?? It seems to me that National Semiconductor made an IC audio filter left to the user for setting characteristics with

Re: CW filter options
I have an ND with the sotabeams filter, it is installed so a Collins filter can be run parallel with it and I find it very comparable to the Collins on CW. The slopes of the filters must be similar

There is another filter option that doesn't get mentioned often: https://www.sotabeams.co.uk/ft-817-filter-module-ssb-cw/ https://www.sotabeams.co.uk/ft-817-filter-module-ssb-cw/ As I understand it,

Re: CW filter options
You're totally correct.? W4RT closed their doors over a year ago.? They sold off all the filter kits, then offered up the bare boards last.? I bought up a few for "FUTURE NEEDS".? AFAIKT, nothing

Re: CW filter options
For the most part the filters are all made by Collins (and are no longer in production), so all the options go back to the same basic filter.?The various retailers mount the filter on a board

Brian,
I forgot to ask...Have you tried listening on the AM or FM broadcast band? With an antenna connected you should hear those bands fairly well. You have to enable the AM/FM dial in Menu item
