Re: Clone FT817 to FT818
Joseph, The OP isn't talking about upgrading from FT-817 to FT-818, he wants to clone memories and settings from one to the other. If he were considering an upgrade from one to the other, there is the

Re: Clone FT817 to FT818
I was unable to directly clone between an FT-817 "unmodified", and an FT817 "modified" i.e. "wide-banded" radios. First I downloaded a data-file from the target radio and populated it (copy and paste)

Re: Clone FT817 to FT818
There is also FT-817 Commander, I don't know if it works on the 818. Chirp should work though.

Re: Clone FT817 to FT818

Re: Clone FT817 to FT818
Note that RT Systems shows a different product to program the FT-817 than for the FT-818. On models that have identical systems, such as the Yaesu FT-897 and FT-837, they sell the same program, in the

G¡¯day Leicester, Good question, wish I could give you an answer! Perhaps the 817 and the 818 are just different enough that a clone from one to the other won¡¯t work? Maybe another approach like
