Perhaps the 817 and the 818 are just different enough that a clone from one to the other won’t work?
?
Maybe another approach like using Chirp to read the 817 then transfer that to the 818?

Just a thought...

Hi All,

I’m having trouble trying to clone a FT817 to a friend’s FT818 using FTBasicMMO with a CT-62 cable, and a direct Clone Cable as described on P69 of the FT817 Handbook.

In both cases the procedure ends abruptly with an error message. Am I wrong to think it should work?
