Re: Power bank questions
HiI am using Power Delivered USB C that can produce 12v to my 817 73 9w2d

Re: Power bank questions
USB-C can natively handle up to 5 amps.? Your phone has the circuitry built-in to use up to that amount.? As long as its 12V and <= 5A then you are good to go! Ryan NE1AM

Power bank questions
I was wondering if it is possible to have a power bank to charge my phone (while hiking) and also to have it as a backup power source for the Yaesu. Not only voltage and current ratings on websites

Re: Antenna question
Mostly heat in the transmission line and finals. If it's an antenna with radials on the ground, resistive ground losses.

Re: Antenna question
Wow..I didn't know it was so lossy! Out of curiosity: the case of one radiator, where does the 2/3 of the power go? Daniel PY2TDB. Em dom., 9 de mar. de 2025, 17:06, James Todd via groups.io

Re: Antenna question
Daniel: If black is the radio, which is about 20 cm, they are functionally equivalent. ?Neither is optimal, however due to the radiator of the antenna you described being shortened by about 1/3

Antenna question
Hello, I have a question: Are these setups equivalent (radiation-wise)? Purple: Portable antenna for, say, 10 m (think of a GRA-1899T) Blue: Ground/radial of 2.5 m Black: Yaesu [image:

A compressor will increase average loudness and thus power, but readability is reduced as it is increased and beyond a point very much. Those with hearing impairments may find readability reduced

Re: Witch DSP Filter is Better? BHI or Sotabeams?
I had the laserbeam filter unit installed in my 817nd for a while. It does work but has a couple of annoying side effects. Well, at least mine did. First, the metering for signal strength is thrown
