Yes, that is where it would be placed.
I have used this combination for over a year with great success. You need to
have the amp in bypass mode when you tune so the Z-11 is not switching high
power. If your match is not close and you forget my experience is that the
SWR protection in the amp will shut it down anyway. I wouldn't depend on this
for normal operation!
