It is not as simple as it looks like Roger...
Except these mentioned changes (lack helical filter on 70cm is shame) realize:
- no longer orange light on 818 front panel to indicating battery charging?
- no longer high power 5(6)W available on 818 when battery powered
+ precise TXCO-9 furtunately installed in stock 818
+ grounding of the boards / shielding inside 818 is changed to avoid additional noise
+ 60m band furtunately added to 818
- In menu Option 10, backlight set to AUTO will never actually turning it off on 818?due to the plug being in the DC power barrel socket.
...and other changes compare to 817/817ND
