Agreed.? Other than photo-ops, when I operate in the sunlight (and this is West Texas and Southern New Mexico) I sit with my back to the sun, and the radio hung around my neck, hanging down on my chest.? I built a microphone hanger on the neck-strap, and my Porta-Paddle is strapped to my leg.? I try to keep the gear in the shade.

As a side-note, it is a shame that the guy making the porta-paddle doesn’t answer his E-mail anymore.? I want to adapt a second porta-paddle to Pedestrian Mobile.? I need a part.? When I try E-mailing, I just get crickets.
