Yes on all of that, I did try menu 19 to reverse the paddle but it didn't seem to help. But that may have
been before I rewired the paddle. I found the ground wire had come broken at the solder joint and
then tried again but forgot to go back to menu 19 and retry, so I will do that today sometime.

With BK active you will still activate the transmitter. For off air practice you would want to un-tick it as well.
You would have to reverse the dit-dah? the wiring on your paddle to change which paddle sends the keying.
