Re: Hammer C3-31 electrical problem
Imran is bang on the money. It is DC braking and this is the module that is used in the Hammer. There is a functional description there and other details such as wiring diagram.

Re: New KF700 Question
Thanks John. That makes sense. At first I thought something like that might be in play, but my first post got through without delay, so I disregarded that theory.

Re: Omga Miter Saw (230v 3ph), can it be connected to a Festool Vac with auto start?
I did a cursory check of the pneumatic components I use for clamps and 290PSI is common. 175PSI for tubing. Lowest was the check valve at 145PSI. If the clamps are provided by OMGA, it still is

Re: Omga Miter Saw (230v 3ph), can it be connected to a Festool Vac with auto start?
A couple of pictures of the Omga with the clamps as I can't find a good picture online with the clamps and I thought some of you may find that of interest. ?Incredibly heavy machine and it is amazing

Re: Hammer C3-31 electrical problem
Cliff, DC injection is the simpler ebraking method. This might be what Felder uses. For regenerative braking, frequency of the power applied to the motor needs to be of lesser frequency than the rate

Re: The ongoing Hammer Table saw mitre gauge question- Mafell MFA?
Brian, Have you seen the recently introduced Hammer 503-167 precision mitre gauge? I swopped out the original factory part on my C3 31 this year to this and it has transformed the machine, you can pin

Re: Hammer C3-31 electrical problem
If ya put a gun to my head? and demanded an answer I'd have to guess they do it by backfeeding EMF? to the motor??? often called regenerative braking.

Brian, You will not have the issue of an inbuilt centrifugal switch I experienced with my Bandsaw Motors with your ATB motor with remote capacitors set up. Joe in New Orleans

Re: F700z motor issue
Most of my motors, even with a high insulation class, feel about the same as when the dog sits on my lap. My Italian motors run the hottest but you should be able to leave your hand on them after they

Re: F700z motor issue
Thanks for the reply Joe. I do have a pic of the original motor plate and a poor pic of the motor. The new motor is the same brand (ATB) and exact specs. ?The F700z has 2 capacitors that live on the

Re: The ongoing Hammer Table saw mitre gauge question- Mafell MFA?
It's about $450, and I think Cliff has a point, I could spiff up my Osbourne and get most of the functionality at a lower cost. As to mounting it fits onto a dovetail extrusion similar to Festool MFT

Here you go. The plates with the slot seems to be an interchangable part.

Brian, I like that as a solution. You probably get 80% of the value of the EGL/DGL . How much is that Maffel double miter fence? Joe in New Orleans

Re: F700z motor issue
Brian, If the start capacitor is not kicking out of the circuit then it could make the motor hot. On single phase combination machines there are two capacitors that are used for all three motors. So
