Re: RL-125: What does this do?

That is my understanding too:

When the pressure difference between the inside and outside is above (or lower, not sure) your setting, the light goes on. I am not sure if this is really working on my RL140 as the light never came up. Now, as a hobbyist the daily manual cleaning when I used it might be overkill.

However, on your picture you have only one pipe for air pressure, it looks like you are missing one. I have two on my RL140.

Bill

Re: Pending delivery, looking for advice

I purchased a copy of the Felder Survival Guide from David in July.? ?He no longer prints it, so it is pdf only, $50.? Part of the agreement is not to share it. (I'm okay with that, it's his copyright.)? ?Both David and the book are clear that the manual has not been kept up to date, so many details will apply only to older saws.? Nevertheless, I have found it to be well worth the cost.??

Felder KF700 and Hammer A3-31 For Sale #forsale

Rob Service

Good Morning,
About 8 months ago I posted that I would like to sell my KF700 that I purchased in 2009, but honestly I was not fully vested in selling it at the time.? I had a few people interested, but since I wasn't a motivated seller, I likely wasn't reasonable on the price.? Things have changed.? Some background ... I am a hobbyist and bought my woodworking equipment to prepare for my retirement.? I retired 4 years ago, and started living the dream.? Unfortunately, two years ago I was diagnosed with a degenerative muscle disease and was cautioned about the dangers of using some of my equipment.? That was the reason I listed the saw for sale last year.? But honestly, I didn't believe the medical advise and wanted to keep doing what I love.? I have had two serious incidents involving trips to the hospital over?the past six months and it is apparent I should not continue to tempt fate.? ?Therefore, I am now what some would call, a motivated seller.

The equipment I have to sell is:
  • a KF700 Professional 3-Phase Saw / Shaper in excellent condition with lots of accessories.? It has a 2050mm slider and an F38 power feeder.? Total cost of the entire setup exceeded $20,000 when purchased in 2009 & 2010
  • a Hammer A3-31 Jointer / Planer with 3 blade cutter head.? It has the mortising assembly bed with coupling unit & tooling. Total cost when I purchased in 2008 was over $5,000
  • Kay Industries Phasemaster Rotary phase converter - Purchased in 2009
  • Powermatic 5HP 3 Phase 20" helical head planner.? Model # 209HH.? Purchased in 2012
  • Powermatic Drill Press with variable speed digital readout, Model # PM2800B? (single phase).? Bought in 2015
  • Powermatic Tilting Table hollow chisel mortiser with cabinet.? Model 719T? Bought in 2014
  • Jet 18" Band saw;? Model #JWBS-18X?
  • Jet 42" Lathe; Model # JWL - 1642 EVS.? Bought in 2012 with custom tool storage and 200lb weighted stand
  • Apollo HVLP Spray.? Model 1025 with 7500T Spray gun, (only used once).? Bought in 2016

All of the equipment is in excellent shape; indeed my dear wife jokes I take more pride in my equipment than what I make with it !

If you are interested in any of the tools, please send me a private message and I will send whatever information you desire and will even face time video so you can see exactly the condition of the equipment.? I live in south central Idaho, 3 hours north of Salt Lake City so delivery is not "round the corner".? ?But rest assured I can assist with packing & preparation and help with delivery.? Most of the larger tools (including the KF700) have mobile bases and so can be moved around easily.

Please be confident I am a serious seller and will be reasonable in the pricing of the equipment.? My preference is to sell the tools in "bundles" since I feel that brings the greatest value & utility to the buyer (ie: all the KF700 stuff together).? But, if that is not possible, I will list all the components at a later time for individual sale.? Therefore - please do not ask about individual accessories at this time - I would hate to tell someone the KF700 comes with 8 blades only to sell it later with only 4.

Thanks,?Rob

I believe that is a sensor that works to tell you when the filter needs to be cleaned. When the pressure sets it off, the light above the power switch will turn on to tell you the filter needs to be cleaned/changed.?

Dino,

Are the blades sharp?

What happens if you increase the feed rate. Light cuts at very slow feed can dull the blades.

If you did not mention labored sound, I would have thought a limit switch or emergency stop circuit going bad.

Does the labored sound, sound like electric brake? That is another possibility.
